Day One : Arrival at the airport of Djerba

A Special reception (bunch of flowers). Transfer to the hotel through the cities of Houmet Essouk / Midoune.

The seductive island of Lotus Eaters, Djerba, has kept its spirit and is a certain charm. The white menzels surrounded by gardens, palm trees and olive trees that witnessed the invasion of the Romans are worth visiting.

Folkloric reception at the hotel and seasonal fruit cocktails.

Dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day Two : Authentic Djerba

After Breakfast and a meeting with the organizers we enjoy a coffee break before a delicious barbecue.

In the ffternoon enjoy a Golf show in ZARZIS and a traditional stay in a Djerbian Houch or in a traditional olive maâsra of Mahboubine.

We will enjoy a visit to Mahboubine / Guellala or take a journey to the islands of flamingos.

Between Mahboubine and Midoun we will visit the mosques, the Menzels, the underground oil mills and weaving workshops. There, we will discover the careers of clays, pottery kilns and pottery museum of Guellela and enjoy a show in a pottery workshop.

On the way to Houmet souk, we will visit the synagogue (Ghriba). In the center of the island you can see the market fondouks, the Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions, the Port, Fort Borj Ghazi Mustapha and the old medina.

At the marina we will take a short break to drink a mint tea or a date cocktail.

Enjoy Dinner and entertainment watching an oriental dancer at the restaurant Twareg.

Overnight at the hotel.

Day Three: DJERBA - TATAOUINE - EL KSOUR DOUIRET - TOUJANE - Matmata - Douz

We will have a delicious breakfast before departure by cars in Saharan outfit.

Following the Roman road to Mednine, we will visit the villages of ridges and the ksour.

We will have a ride on donkeys to one of the Ksours.

We pay a visit to Berber villages: beautiful fortified granaries. The peak village of Douiret that was founded by a holy man in the early days of Islam, was once a necessary stop between Gabes and Ghadames. Then, we will visit the cave dwellings of Toujane.

We will admire the charming Berber village of Matmata and its cave dwellings carved into the soft clays.

We will visit the traditional and authentic market of Douz, the small peaceful town whose central square is surrounded by a small souk offering Saharan outfit, burnouses and balghas crafted with camel wool.

Day Four: DOUZ - KEBILI - CHOTT DJERID - TEMERZA MOUNTAIN OASIS - Tozeur - DJERBA

Morning departure from Douz to Kebeli.

We will enjoy a visit to the date market and taste DEGLET ENNOUR the best dates in the country and a well known delicious fruit.

After crossing the great dry salt lake of CHOT JERID, we will enjoy a demonstration of the special sport: the SPEED SAIL.

We will continue to the pearl of the desert, TOZEUR, where everything is built from small bricks in the color of honey.

We will have a walk in the palm groves and enjoy a game of treasure hunting before we visit the zoo of the Sahara where we find the main species inhabiting the desert: Jackals, fennecs, scorpions and horned vipers. We continue to the beautiful museum DAR CHRAIET that summarizes the history of southern Tunisia.

After lunch, we pay a visit to the three mountain oases: Chbika - MIDES and TAMERZA that offer unique landscapes of canyons and water sources in the desert. The adventure goes on to the Saharan train RED LIZARD for an early return to Djerba via the sweet tray EL JORF.
